S3 next week. Don’t regret it at all. Feel like I’m getting the hang of things and making great friends.
I’ve never seen such a positive senior, love this!!! Makes me feel like less of an outsider for actually enjoying my job most of the time and wanting to stay longer than most people
Just finished S1 year, think I might leave now because if I’m not staying till manager and don’t like Audit - why stay for S2?
No, I do not. S1 was probably the hardest year I ever had in public accounting, so I am glad I didn’t make a decision based on that experience alone. My work since has been mostly satisfying and no where near as shitty as it was that first year as a senior. I’m looking forward to where my path takes me.
Also S3 next week. Leaving but glad I stayed to the 4 yr mark for what's next
Because I received an accounting manager and a controller position with 50% increase in pay without having to stay that extra year.
Doing so would just be a loss in opportunity. To each their own but if doing so, I hope it’s a manager position or greater
S3 here. Don’t regret at all. Looking back I don’t feel like me as an S1 knew much about anything (both on technicals and how to manage people/timelines). Don’t feel like I would have learned as much about a variety of technical, professional, and management skills as I did had I left earlier.
s3 as well giving notice. Learned as much as I could and honestly loved it until about 6 months ago. I'll say this if you're truely unhappy leave, nothing is worth being miserable 8+ hours 5 days a week.
No ragrets (not even a letter). Better exit oops!
