The closer you get, the harder it seems (because the years take cumulative toll) and you know more. Take a break, there’s never going to be a good stopping point and it’s good to rest when tired. You can always quit, a 2 month break before quitting wont change anything in the long run however if you aren’t going to quit it’ll give you the break you need.
One thing I can assure you of OP, once you take a sabbatical, you won't have any regret that you didn't take a sabbatical. It's now or never 😊 Go live life man. You'll die soon anyway. We all will.
Saw a role for Deloitte ‘s Risk & Financial Advisory's Analytics practice (SC). Anyone know first hand what the team is like and if they enjoy the projects they’re on? And if it’s more consulting rather than staff aug?
Done a few, couple of months are fairly doable. Anything more than 3 months can be an issue.
Frankly, time off doesn’t help you answer the question, it gives you a good break. I loved every bit of it, just felt as clueless before/after.

Would love to do it, but....can’t.
In the same boat - hence wanted some perspective from folks who have done it
