Need ur valuable suggestion in choosing my next company. I am a CA who is quitting my individual practice to get back to Industry. Am based out of Chennai. 7 YOE. Got 3 offers to decide from:

1. KPMG India Stat Audit - Asst Mgr - 18L (Chennai)
2. Pierian Services - Manager RTR - 18L (Bangalore)
3. KPMG GDC - Senior Associate 2 - 19L (Bangalore)

Recently accepted a great offer from one of those startup-within-a-large-company outfits. The startup farms out the hiring stuff to the larger company. In the new hire paperwork, I noticed it said the comp was based on my being in a Tier 1 CoL city. Prior to accepting I'd mentioned to the startup I was looking to move, and they said it shouldn't be an issue. Will they adjust my comp down if I move to a Tier 2 city? Startup is fully distributed and remote.

But recently, I've noticed that my manager has been asking me to do more and more work on my own without giving me any additional compensation for my time. He just keeps telling me that if I want to get ahead, then this is what I need to do.

Hello, I just had to vent a little and maybe ask for your opinion. So I’ve been working at my job for four years now and I’ve never gotten a promotion. On top of this, I do extra duties that my coworkers don’t do and struggle with the work load. I feel like I’m being taken advantage of and am not sure what to do. I feel like going to my boss and refusing to continue to do these extra tasks without extra compensation. Am I being a baby about this?

How does a litigation paralegal, with over 20 years of experience, get into the corporate world? like a contract paralegal? I've always worked in litigation, and really want to get into a large corporation, I have made it to interviews, but seems like they always want someone with transactional and contract experience.

The insurance company I work for outsourced a huge majority of my work to a third party, ontellus 🤮. I am not longer able to bill for NPNP, SDT and CNOS. I received 5 separate NPNPs from ontellus that either had the incorrect case style, signature block or date. I also sent out an email today after the 5th incorrect NPNP that started with “I am honestly starting to feel like I am on the show Punk’d and waiting for Ashton Kutcher to pop into my office” continued in comments..

I’m so burnt out from law that I’m starting to think I need to do something else. I can’t keep handling the constant stress from having to do my attorney’s job for them since they’re too scatterbrained to handle most of it themself.

Of the many binders you have made in your career, what percentage of those binders do you think were actually used? I do a lot of trial prep and I'd say most of the binders I prepare don't even get opened up, even it's just to see if there are actually printed papers in there.

Do I need a lawyer? I rear-ended someone. So serious damage. In fact my insurance dropped the claim because damage to her vehicle was less than $500. However, motorists has now retained a lawyer and is filing a personal injury claim

Has anyone ever gone on disability at a law firm where you’re the only paralegal to the partner of the firm? I’m worried I’ll be replaced while I’m out or that I’ll be letting him down. I’m already behind on my workload so I can imagine how backed up and out of touch I will be when I come back. I don’t want to let him down. I’ve been with the firm 5 years and I’m really his right hand. But I am concerned about it.

For those of you who have been formally given the title of “senior paralegal” what are the qualifications for that title at your firm? Does your firm do promotions from paralegal to senior paralegal? At my firm we are all simply just “paralegal” (we all fully handle our own dockets, no assistants) and I would like to help develop a concrete career track for paralegal to senior paralegal.
