I am currently on notice period and my LWD is Sep 2, 2022. Today, I got an offer from state street mentioning my joining date as Sep 12, 2022 even though I already told HR that I would like to join from Sep 5 itself. How can I convince HR to prepone my joining date to Sep 5, 2022. I don't want to lose my one week salary guys. Pls suggest. State Street
I got tech mahindra offer with 17 LPA including variable pay 10% and they said it will be paid out on monthly basis with 100% variable for senior soft eng role. So, will IBM match my tech mahindra offer with 17 LPA ?? Or it wll match only fixed ? Has anyone matched IBM with tech mahindra counter offer ?? Need ur help. Thanks!IBM Tech Mahindra

Not sure what firm you are at, but at least at EY...by the time you get to the meeting about your salary increase, that is like months past the time it was decided. There is no negotiation at that point, they are just telling you the decision.

Once at ey i was able to negotiate like 30% increase in October, after salary was already decided an communicated. But I had very good case. So dont be afraid to bring it up. Worst that can happen is they say no

I asked for too much thinking we'll meet in the middle. Like I asked for amount I didn't think was reasonable and they would never give me. And they met my ask. I was the best amongst my peers by far though. It was audit
