USI Insurance brokerage and consulting - thoughts? A recruiter reached out to me via linked in and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on this company. They seem to have decent reviews on Glassdoor but I was hoping to get more insight into workload and comp. Thanks in advance! USI

Wish I could go back to hourly and get paid for overtime. The good ole days
If you are in the USA, it doesn’t matter whether you are paid salary or hourly, what matters is the classification of exempt or non-exempt. Unless your job is changing enough to justify the reclassification, I don’t see how this benefits you… if your work has been eligible for overtime this whole time despite being paid a salary, you’ve been hoodwinked and this change may be to keep you happy enough not to notice you’ve been misclassified.
Just do a lot of scenario math on this to ensure you aren’t working for free. The word salary can be enticing but I wish I was still hourly when I had an 80 hr work week.
It really depends. If you are going to be working overtime, I would want to get paid for it. There are benefits to both really.
