Sat in a lunch with the interns and some staff. The interns started today and a staff 2 talked about how he drinks and drives. How do I handle explaining to him that’s incredibly wrong and that it’s wrong to talk about that with interns. Or do i just bring it to a partner?

I don’t see why you’d bring this to a partner? If he was drinking and coming into the office drunk that feels like something you should bring to the partner, but drinking and driving feels way less connected to work. I understand that looks bad for them to bring it up in front of interns, but I’m confident the interns just thought that person is messed up, not that your group condones drinking and driving

It’s pretty widely known that drinking and driving is incredibly unsafe, dangerous, and illegal, but if you feel you must do something I would talk to the person one on one and let them know you wanted to follow up with them after they mentioned their drinking and driving. I’d offer up support and maybe recommend a few resources they can reach out to

As far as them bringing it up with interns, just flat out tell them you thought that comment was inappropriate and makes the group look bad

Yeah, speak to the interns directly/privately. "You guys know that Staff 2 isn't a great role model on the drinking and driving thing, right? RIGHT? Ok. Thought so. Cool. I hope he changes his ways before getting a ticket that he'd have to disclose to the firm. That would be embarrassing. And very expensive."

I probably wouldn't bring it up with a partner unless he's somehow going to drive clients anywhere. (I don't think that driving clients is even a thing anymore, and if so, it would likely be at lunchtime, and someone higher up in the food chain driving.)

I am a field marketer. I travel and cover 12 states. HQ is across the US on the east coast. My manager put a surprise calendar invite twice now to go to home office without consulting dates to see if we were available. I work with a partner who overthinks and over complicates everything. Something that should take 1 day takes 3 days. One day, I spent a solid 6 hours going back and forth with him revising a simple motion. I billed 6 hours for finalizing the motion, which is obviously absurd but I want to show my time accounted for. I plan to explain that entry to the partner who the client belongs to since I know it's absurd. I hate working with this other guy though because everything takes forever. Any tips?


I work at a PR firm and manager has been a nightmare. She is focused on the negatives and placed me on an unofficial performance improvement plan with the threat of making it official with HR and being fired. She has received positive feedback from teams, but is hung up on finding something wrong. For background, she has me on 10 accounts when other people on the team are under utilized. I’ve expressed needing help. Is this beyond repair? I’m completely burned out trying to impress her.

My manager literally gives me all the client work and works on proposals all day (while charging the client). Have had this happen to me in the past but never to this extent.


First time BDR here 3 months into my role and really struggling to book qualified meetings. The BDR that had my territory last was one of the worst performing on the team and since he inherited a new territory he’s been a top performer. Is there a corporate way to bring up to senior leaders that an IC is causing issues across multiple teams because they are demanding and also doesn’t collaborate well? Hi question: let’s say you have a client who kicked his ex gf’s leg rather than the door and left bruising. UK charge is assault by beating; is this considered “serious bodily harm” by UK standards ?

A new hire at my client is a girl I hooked up with back in college. It was really awkward when the controller introduced her to me.

I have been experiencing a lack of focus, inability to work and general symptoms I would describe as depression since starting WFH. I started dating this guy some months before covid struck.. he was literally crazy about me. He even stayed in Hyderabad for months just so that we could meet once before he went on to stay with his family. After that it had been a real roller coaster. He pampered me a lot before and now he hardly talks. We both have switched to different companies (earlier were in the same) and now he works 6 days a week. Sleeps or Vists his relatives or works on Sundays. Sometimes I feel he no longer loves me.
