If you’re planning to buy a nicer chronograph in the near future (aka the speed master) you’re likely wasting money on a watch you’ll never wear. But if the speedie is pretty far in your future then go ahead
People who call tissot or longines “crap” clearly don’t know their shit. This is a great watch in its own regard but certainly save up for the speedy if that’s what you really want
1. I wear a Panerai as one of my primary watches, so 45mm is not a big deal to me. To each their own
2. Can’t speak to the plastic material used in the movement, but then again, it is a budget watch so the movement will obviously be fairly unremarkable when compared to its more expensive brethren. Doesn’t mean it’s not an objectively good watch for the money
3. The reason it’s so cheap is also because the watch is primarily machine produced and because Tissot has been able to achieve economies of scale under the Swatch umbrella
Bottom line - while it won’t hold water if you’re looking to buy / compare to a speedy, you will not be disappointed for the money you spend on it. I personally own a PRS516 for which I paid far less than my other watches. Still love it and have days where I wear it proudly

Don't ever buy a watch because it's a good deal or because you want something like that and it's what is in your budget. But a watch that you really like, and only that. Not one someone else says you should like or you should own, buy what you like for the right price and you'll never regret it.
