Saw a job posting for a sales consultant role. It mentions that it’s a mid-level sales position. I always thought consultants were the same thing as a representative (entry level). Can someone clarify this for me? Thanks so much

Sometimes Sales Consultants are actually Sales Engineers (semi-technical demos) and companies like former AE / AM / RM experience for the soft skills.

How many years of experience does the role require? Every company defines roles a bit differently…but my first ever Sales job was a “consultant” title.

2 years of saas experience and 2 year of industry experience

With account manager experience

I was a Consultant of Business Development once and it was definitely not entry level

working as a network tech for an ISP for a year now, no prior tech exp but prior professional/management exp. Goal: coding exp by eoy yr2

I applied for and was offered a IT team position at a resort which pays 20% more and involves more diverse skills, networking, some sysadmin, potential .net development exp and scripting.

Current employer offers 21% raise and 30% coding duties. Dept head cannot give it in writing... coding is as helper to a consultant.

Wut do?

Are there any Facebook software engineers here? I've a question

I'd like to know if candidates from different departments like ios dev, android dev, web dev put on separate wait-list?

Is the wait-list for each department used only for the candidates on that wait-list or can candidates from other department wait-list take a spot?#swe #software

Are other city’s getting a new “coding bootcamp” or fortune 500 company partnering with existing local boot camp like once a week?

In the last 8 months Detroit has had:
* Apple open up a developer academy
* Ford + Google partner up to make a coding bootcamp for high schoolers
* Accenture opening up coding classes for high schoolers
* Amazon partnering with an existing bootcamp — grand circus— and fully funding it for qualified individuals

Wtf? Detroit usually is the city company’s avoid?

Hi, I’m up for a promotion this up coming cycle (July) to become a senior Data Engineer. I was hired at my current firm as a more junior engineer but I’ve made strong headway since. I accepted a lower paycheck (120 Base, 150 TC) back then, but I don’t want to sell myself short this time. What is a competitive salary I could ask for and how do I negotiate that?

I wonder, why everyone is not applying for FAANG and they’re happy with startups or other companies? (Not talking about who are not able to clear the interviews )

Any suggestions on how to navigate it and do my own part in finding a team/matching/moving along my process?

Hi! Happy Friday! So I would like to ask for some pointers…I am looking for a side gig to keep my skills sharp and also make extra money, I am very good at data clean up in Salesforce using ETL tools. Anyway, if you guys can point me on where I can find some consulting or side gigs cleaning up or structuring data, I did that for 3 years implementing Salesforce and pivoted to demo’ing so don’t get to do a lot of that anymore 😊 thank you ahead of time!

Has anyone here ever gotten into Microsoft without a referral? Is it a lost cause?
