Depends on where you work...

Today’s email is just the mandatory yearly notification proving EY is funding the pension at an appropriate level.

Deloitte you get it back 6 months after u leave

If it’s fully vested but under a certain amount (like $20-30k) then yeah this seems accurate.

Yeah you get a check based on an obscure formula for projected growth. Took a couple of months to get through the paperwork a d everything, but my final check was about 2.5-3x the pension amount shown.

Is it common practice to get a calculated multiple on top of the original pension amount?

Has the blush come off the rose for this shining city on a hill? Have any other foreign fish in the US been asking yourself why we made the conscious decision to seek out a life in this country? The racial tensions and frequent shootings (including a much covered grocery store that I used to frequent) are outweighing the benefits of staying here. Never have I had to worry this much about going to the grocery store. The reaction of society here towards these issues is also dismal. Is it worth it?

I understand that traditional vs. Roth 401k depends on tax bracket now vs. expected tax bracket in retirement. And of course there is the risk of changing tax laws. But what if you just don't know? Do you just split 50/50? Or once you're making over a certain amount, does it naturally make more sense to lean towards traditional? Not sure what other people do and what income level they make the shift to traditional, if at all.

Does it make sense to have a common data strategy and a single data lake across this products? What are the benefits?

We are closer to the end of this initial selling than the beginning. All this technical selling on a 15 minute chart simply brings us back to a 4 Hour Halfway Back long of May 20 to Highs. And, we find support right in the middle of this HWB long. I think we can go a little lower to break the long in a dip below the 61.8% red line. Alternatively, we can hold here and rally. Either way, tomorrow or next week, we are due to rally 300 Nasdaq points. Take profits and be smart.

My husband and I (both 27) max out our Roth IRAs each year, have a complete emergency fund, and I’m able to start maxing my 401K this year (he contributes 10% to his 401K - it isn’t possible for him to max his based on his current pay). We contribute 18% extra towards principal on our mortgage each month. We now have about $20k of additional savings we want to figure out what to do with. What would you recommend to someone who is new to stocks/investments?
