Saw job posts about Deloitte requiring 50% travel post covid. Any other consulting firms thinking in that same direction?

I know this isn’t your intent, but it’s funny that you believe them that 50% is what will happen. Reality is: if our clients want us there, we will travel, if they don’t, we won’t. Some projects will be 100% travel, some will be 50, some will be 0.

I guess you’re right. Sigh.

Personally, I love this

You missed the keyword “upto”

Oh yeah, it said “up to”. Which can still mean BS but if that language got approved to post there must be something brewing. Fwiw i have a travel project coming up, the team is planning to actually fly over maybe every other week tops.

Anyone else tire of the “plant mom” and “dog dad” me too conversation? It seems to be more frequent. For example, company says, “Parents, please share pictures of working from home with your kids during Covid” for a diversity and inclusion project. Undoubtedly someone responds, “what about my plant babies? 🤣”. I don’t want sympathy but I find it childish. Just give us the courtesy of understanding that plants and pets are not the same. Stop “me too’ing”

I’ve been on a couple dates with a guy and we got ~physical~ on the second date. Third date is this week but due to COVID reasons I want to know if he’s seeing other people... what’s the best way to ask without thoroughly freaking him out? Usually I wouldn’t care this early but I feel like I need to be aware of his “germ pool” 😂

So umm whose’s going to tell him? Also not surprised over half the people in this pic have caught COVID.

United lost my son's car seat on a 3 hr flight. It was registered as a checked luggage with the proper csrseat tag and everything. After following up with an agent after we landed, they said it stayed in EWR and they are working to get it shipped to me in the next day or so while I'm on vacation. Anyway to get points for the inconvenience, I'm Premier platinum if it matters. They did give me a free loaner carseat until mine arrives but it's kinda crappy tbh.

If every study shows bad management slows productivity and cost companies good employees, why are all these a**hole clients and the MDs who turn a blind eye protected? I thought our MD might step in, but he just completely downplayed it and even blamed us. Why isn't there more attention on changing this outdated ideology?
