1 YOE and looking to apply to MBB or FAANG if that matters. Also, is there a cutoff score (750+ or something like that) that makes it worth listing?

likefunny

Seems like you know what you’re going to do then. I personally don’t put a lot of weight on gpa. As for the cutoff, I think 730+ is accepted by mensa

Depends on target audience; sometimes I include mine and sometime I don’t. 2YOE.

Jobs that typically recruit out of MBA. I’d look at the hiring manager and if they themselves have an MBA.

helpful

Yes it will. Do it.

Different recruiters look for different things, so hard to really know. For what it’s worth, when I see someone with a mediocre GPA and great test scores, my immediate category is “smart, but lazy.” Not amazing, but at least as good as “maybe not that smart; maybe lazy.”

Just completed two years at D. Joined as an SC after MBA now an M. Cumulative earning in this period was 470k - base + bonuses + tuition + retention. I’d say that’s not bad. I even enjoy the work and am aligned with some partners that do some cool work. That said, my main goal is to make $ and I feel I’m now going to fall behind folks in other firms. I can manage bad WLB for another 5/6 yrs and I enjoy consulting. I think I need to move to another firm. Thoughts on my next steps given my goals?

Currently pursuing a MBA, and am deciding which focus areas to take. I am trying to pivot from UX design to product in tech. Ideal sector: FinTech Current sector: Mobile Gaming Related sectors: Entertainment, Edutainment, e-Commerce, Social Aiming at head of product or head of design as long term goal. If only 2 focuses, would you pick Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Strategic Innovation, or Global Challenges in Business? Advice appreciated!

I get interrupted a lot at work now that we are virtual. I don't feel like this happens to everyone else in my team as much, meaning folks tend to let them talk longer. So I've reduced my contribution and talk less. But then others make the same point I'm thinking and would normally have said. So now I just look like a silent non-contributor or someone who gets interrupted a lot. Office/team culture is generally good, respectful and peaceful. How do I change this?
