Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

EY, I got my Roth IRA contributions set to max (30%). Does Fidelity automatically lower the % and stop contributions afterwards once I reach my 2022 limit?
Also at Deloitte, I had a couple thousand contributed in the beginning of the year. Does EY's 401k keep track of that as well towards the limit?

Do it. Continue building your cloud skills with a pay/title bump. Expand them into security. Pass the CCSP. Write your own ticket anywhere.
Depends. What's your current title, yoe, current comp, offered comp, expected career trajectory, etc
1.) 300 employees is not tiny
2.) for me, it would be the security of knowing that if it falls through, I could move right along to a similar company with similar comp
What is your long term plan? Figure out if the tiny firm lines up with that. Always consider if your next firm sets you up well for the long term. Also if you are safe and not super unhappy at ACN, and there is risk the tiny firm would not align with your long term goals, stay...😬
If you leave on good terms, Accenture will take you back no problem, probably with another pay bump.
Unless you are consistently ATVT or SA you aren’t going to make partner anyways. Jump, but also realize that at a smaller firm you need to be very good at building relationships and business development. You’ll make more money at a smaller firm than you will muddling along at Accenture being consistent with if you can do the BD.
I’d take the risk knowing fully well that if you fail, you can go back to a bigger company! Opportunities are always there for the taking!
