Scheduled to take FAR tomorrow. There’s about a 95% chance I fail based on where I am in Becker. Is it even worth taking it or should I just reschedule?

At this point I'd just take it, I did the same with FAR knowing I wouldn't pass but I got a 69 (nice) which gave me confidence that I could pass it if fully prepared.

If you are scoring like a 65 on the becker practice exam you should pass

like

I was got a 50% on the practice exam two days before I took the actual exam and then went on to get an 80%... you can do it :)

At this point there’s nothing to loose in taking it, only upside

Take it. What do you have to lose?

Maybe, but you also might get yourself a 75 and have no need for another test...

Take it. Write down recurring MCQ topics and SIM topics on your scratch paper. Commit the topics to memory and write them down as soon as you get back to your car. Test doesn’t change that much between windows

Quite honestly I didn’t pass any of the exams the first time. Just remember your end game and stay focused.

ive been there before... take it and see how it feels. you are not getting a lot of the money back anyways. When we dont study much we feel good about the exam (i know... odd right?) but score like 55-65... it will give you some valuable information about what to focus when studying

Got an 84 if anyone is interested. Thanks for the kind words and encouragement everyone.

Nice! Congrats!

Just take it. At the very least you've seen the real test once. At best, you pass.

For the rest of the night just do MCQs. You practice while learning the mistakes you did, I also had like 3 of the same questions so that was helpful.

What’s the percentage of ppl who pass FAR on the first try? I know I didn’t. You can join the club and learn something in the process. Be better prepared the second time. The money value is nominal in the grand scheme.

Is it within 24 hours? If so, you can’t reschedule

It’s free to reschedule right now

Have salaries in advertising really changed over the years/decades? I remember in 1993 at Lowe NYC when the salary list was left on the printer... the CDs were making about $200k on average. That’s 27 years ago.

Hey guys - I work at FAANG right now, and planned on an mba in the next 2-3 years. Have an opportunity with McKinsey as a consultant. Always wanted to work there, but only for a short stint - feel like it will 1) boost my overall profile for an mba application 2) give me the experience I’m looking for before mba because post mba I’d like to focus on my own venture. Also folks at McKinsey - would love to hear what conditions there are for getting an mba sponsored at the firm. Thanks!
