B1 - o please we are consultants and complain about everything. Get off your high horse and out of your safe zone.
Salty much Bain1? He SHOULD say something to the FA. OP cares because seat belt extender = people invading his space. You have every right to be fat, and we have every right to the full seat we paid for. What happens when OP meets a large object? 😂😂😂
Firstly when speaking in terms of nouns I'm quite lean but sympathize with people who struggle with obesity as well as smokers. Perhaps your aggression towards fat folks is because you're forced to comply with non smoking laws so you transfer that to others. I have been squashed between two big guys on a number of flights and let me tell you my chiropractor bill is evidence that I pay more of a price having to lurch my shoulders awkwardly forward to accommodate the larger folks. In actuality airline seats have been made smaller walkways narrower and all in the name of the almighty $$$$. But if you think a majority of fat folks don't try every year to.break through their cellulite walls in defeat then you my dear must be the privileged few who will never need to be served, rescued or perhaps saved by that someone whose body type doesn't match your ideals. In fact I pray for you as people with good kind hearts talent and intelligence come in many forms and you my friend are missing out on perhaps those experiences. I'm not offended just amazed at the short comings of so many folks who share those views and know I can't change them but when I encounter rude people who are condescending (and believe me it's a obvious as someone who shit in their pants) then those attitudes impact the fat folks lives as well. But hey you're certainly entitled to your views. It's karma that will be the judge.
...here we go again. Sorry, Director. Fat people fly. You have a problem with it? Then say something to the flight attendants and get the to enforce their own airline's policy on passenger size. Can't wait for a bunch of unoriginal FB comments on how awful fat people are.
I bet if the passenger was a women with an hour glass shape and oversized implants that obstructed his arm rest he would be more tolerant. Unfortunately the airline has no rules for huge pricks and I don't mean size
B1 is right, why the hell do you care if someone's using a seatbelt extender?
Yes, A1...I'm saying that OP should say something to the FA....
It's disrespectful to put someone else in an uncomfortable situation. If you take up more than 1 seat, then purchase 2 tickets. Im sorry if that offends anyone, but if you've ever had a sore back from sitting in a compromising position you would understand.
I'm sorry, if I've offended you. This pandering is one of the major reasons for the obesity epidemic. I cannot smoke if it impacts you at a bar, but your fatness can impact me? Pfft...
@Dir OP. I am the one who owes you and the audience an apology. I just laid my mom to rest after battling weeks of bone cancer. She was gorgeous and slender and had the heart of angel for everyone. She wouldn't have wanted me to be so judgmental but I lost it thinking the world needs more of her and less of you or even me for that fact. But it doesn't change things. Don't console me as I feel blessed to have such a role model and even more so to call her my mom. I need to make my family proud and therefore ask you for your forgiveness please. I'm no one to pontificate and feel awful for such behavior or thoughts. And thank you for your understanding in advance.
Well, now everyone is depressed. Back to the nonsense posts.
Ok fair enough. Since there's really nothing the other passenger can do and I'm pretty patient. I would probably tolerate the situation if it's a short flight. If it's a lengthy flight then I have to determine it on a case by case basis on what's best for my conscience. So I have one for you. What would you do if the passenger next to you was slender but smelled and I mean really nauseated the air with this permeating odor? How do you claim your air space.
Yeah you sound like a jerk OP
Hey props to A2, God bless.
@A2 im interested to hear your opinion on how to handle these situations.
How my family would have expected me to with grace and humility.
We get it, you love your family - I love mine too. Please answer the question and explain what you would do in this situation. Just as a reminder, the scenario is that you purchased a plane ticket and you get to your seat and notice that the individual next to you is taking up a sizable portion of your seat. The only reason I'm asking is because I am genuinely curious.
@A2 that's actually a very interesting question. Believe it or not i had a situation like that on a former project where one person claimed to be allergic to perfume and arrangements had to be made. I too would have to judge on case by case situation, but given the way your asked the question I would most certainly speak up to the FA. I would imagine other individuals in the immediate area would be affected by the stench too.
Very good yes I encountered many times those situations like especially nuclear range baby poop. Lol. But what can you do tell the parents to butt plug their child! Lmao.
