Second year? Should probably be at least double. AT LEAST.

Way too low holy shit dude

Say the following words, “I don’t get out of bed for less than 100k”

You’ve been with the firm 1 year.

Means you just had a bad rating your first year... There is no low or high at BA/C, just good or bad performance.

What member firm and practice? What was your performance year like? Don't listen to the others, compensation is highly variable depending on these things. I'm in Tech in the US, a second year analyst would typically make high 70's/low 80's

like

You should not be making 140k as an analyst .. you'd probably get laughed out of comp discussion if you said that

All you do is make PowerPoints

Also consulting and advisory are separate, so let's not cross compare please.

First year base is $72.5K ... so to clarify, are you a first year still, or have you gone through year end? Surprised if latter, because most folks got a 5-6% bump (with average, 3 rating)

@D5 is federal the same? I think they are a little lower.

Are you federal advisory? If so, that is just fine

I'm starting to go by the rule of thumb that if you're "under" the average by 5-7k at your level in your firm, and not for performance reasons, it's lame but it isn't affecting your life. When the amounts are this small, there's no logical thing to do. Not worth bringing up, not worth quitting over if you like your job... you'll be fine. Go for C next year and enjoy the promo bump

You are market average for a first year analyst .. consultants are usually in the 80s an scs range from low 90s to about 115k over 3 years

D6, are those DC ranges?

Putting things into perspective, came to the firm as an experienced consultant at 72 -_- Federal but still low AF

Exactly D5. Which is why we could use a rly updated version of the fishbowl comp survey

Sounds about right

I gave my notice last week. Timing is unfortunate; I have a new hire 60 days in. I told them Monday I was leaving. Today was our regularly scheduled check in. I asked how they'd digested the news.
