Second year Associate (9 YOE/MBA)

Offered a Director of Strategy role in a fun and fast growing industry (think media/tech/entertainment). Total compensation is $260K (180K base, rest is RSU and bonus)

Currently I am up for EM in ~6 months and TC is ~$220. I’m not excited by my current job, but I don’t hate it either.

I think the new opportunity is in an exciting space but not sure if I’m doing the right thing by leaving at this point of my tenure (not interested in becoming a Partner) Help?

I am working on a NFOA for a design case. The Examiner identified a primary references and four secondary references. The Examiner also pointed out five differences between the primary reference and the claimed design. For the reply, I found nine additional differences between the claimed design and the primary reference, two of which are not present in any of the cited references. The catch is I would no longer be doing corp dev, just FP&A. I work on a consulting team at a large software company. I’m a job hopper, around 2 years each at my first and second jobs and a little over a year at this job. I recently found out they’re shutting my team down. We’re not fired, but they’re transferring us to the core implementation team, which has a horrible reputation for malignancy, overworking, and isn’t at all what I was hired to do. How hard is it going to be to for me to find a new job? Should I just stay and try things out? What next?
