Deloitte GPS Business Analyst vs Mercer Health Consulting Analyst?
Deloitte's offer is 7K more and in a cheaper area. Equal interest in both jobs, slight preference for Mercer for people + culture. Leaning towards Mercer because I graduate in Dec and can start in Jan vs having to wait until next summer for Deloitte + location (although higher COL)

Pigeonhole-ing myself into health consulting / How hard would it be to join Big 4 in a year or two if I don't like it

So, can everyone who has a second tell me who they used to study for their testing. Indiana is my state but most of the tests are similiar so any notes, downloads, quizlet, books you could refer me to, or even a person that teaches for pay. Anything would be awesome. Matthewwcates@icloud.com thanks.

How soon would you have to move to the bay area? If it is when return to office policies start, which could be 3-6 months from now, then that's not a good option. However, if it is on a multi-year scale, menacing you need to be in the bay area to get promoted eventually, then I'd take option 1, get experience from the current location, and try to leave for a similar role if moving becomes mandatory at some point.

Any advice and tips on how you approached recruiting?

Do major companies use external recruiting firms rather than in house recruiting? I’ve felt like the roles recruiting firms have sent me are sus. vs going directly to the company I am interested in with favorable roles.
Also: Option 2 is 50/50 Cash/RSU

Great options — I’d pick 2, if you don’t want to go to Bay Area
2 sounds like a better fit. Can I ask, what is the role in 1? Sounds like a great exit if not for the location!
The role for #1 is similar to #2- Analytics and data Manager between business unit leaders and a development team.
Mix of light technical skills, core consulting skills (big picture thinking, Exec Comms), corp strategy.
Off topic, but would love to hear more about your background - what led you to a (potential) data + corporate strategy role? I haven’t heard much about that type of role, but on the surface it sounds right down my alley. How rare are those types of roles vs pure corporate strategy roles? What does it take?

Strategy and analytics/ data often go hand in hand in today's world
