Can’t stress enough to young people entering the workforce (and even the tenured folk already in). DONT overspend on rent. It’s just an apartment...

Although.. I’m (jointly) paying $500 more a month for a way nicer place and am soo stoked to not be quarantined in our old place where water came down the chimney when it rained!

I spend 50% of my paycheck on rent and it has only been worth it this month 😂 never spent so much time in my beautiful apartment ever

The people who never bothered to save much because they figured they could start closer to 30, wouldn’t want to be them now

Oh, and on behalf of all the artists helping you through this (artists, musicians, etc.), you’re welcome! Maybe take some of your gold and share it with them in their Patreons.

Thought I'd share this for inspiration. I was eating right and working out for the past few weeks and my weight on the scale was not budging which in turn was demotivating me. Yesterday was my first rest day and cheat day. I also slept a full 8 hrs. This morning I stepped on the scale and voila! Down 6 lbs. This has motivated me to keep pushing. Another 15 lbs to my target. lesson learned - Trust the process!

SO and I moved into a loft style apartment where the walls only go up about 80% of the way (there’s 2 ft gap between the wall and ceiling) this has made co working from home a nightmare, even getting a plate from the kitchen is perfectly audible from the bedroom. The place is awesome otherwise - any creative solutions from other fish in similar situations? Considering this a life lesson…

Yesterday was a good day. I was really impressed with myself. I woke up at 5, practiced dance lessons, did two water colors, made breakfast and tea, got to work by 10, put in 8-10 hours of solid work and then came home. It’s been ages since I painted or danced. However today, I slept till 7:00, did not work out or have food. Still got to work by 10 and did 8 solid hours of work. Some days are good and some are just okay. And that is okay. Trying to build on my good days and we all can. :)

Long post alert. Also, confusing post alert haha. So, I'm going to be divorced in the next few months and have 2 kids who'll be with me. Ever since this situation has been finalized, I'm becoming very conscious of our spend & have been tight about it. Covid has helped. But I noticed that even my grocery store bills are pretty high...like a single run to Meijer is $125+. Costco is like $200 or so. We've always had fresh fruits, nuts liberally used in our house.
