Hi everyone,
I have a total 9+ work ex in Devops and Release Management. Did an executive mba with a goal of breaking into Program management but got recruited into Management Consulting . In this company for the past 3 months.
I feel that my overall skills are better off in a TPM/Program Management role.
My overall experience makes me eligible for most PM roles.
My question is how do I prep for a TPM role since I don’t have development or Scrum Master exposure. Amazon India VMware BrowserStack Inc.

🙋🏼 If you saw a younger guy in that same situation would you think they were "trying to get a promotion" or were forced? I don't feel awkward and find it sad that you think a woman eating dinner would be doing it for any different reason than a guy. We can enjoy company too
Ageee with above, I'm the only female on my team, and I enjoy going out to dinner or drinks with them because after being on such a long project together they're my friends
Thoughts: you typed out an entirely mundane situation that 75% of the female consultants in this bowl have experienced.
So what?
Pretty standard based on my experience (30F). As you move up the ranks less and less women esp those who want to travel (lots seem to optimize for local)
Thoughts - oh look a consulting team. Assumptions - younger person is probably doing most of the heavy lifting. Nothing to do with said persons sex, tho
Holy crap, they hang out and speak to each other!
Gang bang🤦🏻♂️
Sounds like most of my team events 👩🏻
@OP - I have been the only female on all 5 of my project teams. According to your post, I should skip team dinners so that you won't have any "thoughts/assumptions" ...? Please advise.
That the world is full of people of different ages and genders?
You're judgmental
You sound like the type who would mansplain while wholeheartedly denying such a thing.
Thought: it'd be pretty cool if she were more senior than they are, to flip everyone's expectations.
She is going places, one way or another 🤔
They have time for a relaxed dinner? 🤔
I have been one of 2 women on a 25 person team...still went out to dinner with people. Not sure why this is a big deal.
OP I'd be curious to hear what you think your reasons were for this post.
??
exactly, I suspect most of the replies are from them
OP if u have heard the term micro aggression!!!
