Hi folks, It's been 22 days since I joined birlasoft. But still I have not been mapped to any project and in induction I have been told this hiring is done based on an already existing requirement. Is it common to not get mapped after these many days of joining? Please share your experience!!! Birlasoft

🙋🏼 If you saw a younger guy in that same situation would you think they were "trying to get a promotion" or were forced? I don't feel awkward and find it sad that you think a woman eating dinner would be doing it for any different reason than a guy. We can enjoy company too
Ageee with above, I'm the only female on my team, and I enjoy going out to dinner or drinks with them because after being on such a long project together they're my friends
BCG2 that would be one lucky guy!!
Agree with EY4 it is no big deal!!!
That happens to all of us young lady consultants and we don't think anything of it. Just part of the team and appreciate that you respect us just as much as the older guys on the team
You're walking down the street and see a cart selling half smokes. A middle aged man buys one. Thoughts?
But also raises another question: what do females in this situation think? Awkward? Trying to get a promotion? Forced?
I think you should go talk to her since she's prob not trying to be the talk of the office tomorrow...
Why are you even asking for a reaction or thoughts? Should we have any? I wouldn't think anything of it. It's not worthy of consideration. Its a bunch of people working. Why aren't you?
Your misogynistic ideals are what's wrong with this world.
Haha love the reactions :)
My main thought is those guys are too old for consulting
I'm reading so many assumptions about the reason for my post.
Not awkward at all. My last CST was 12 men. And me.
Stop stalking me?
I really don't get OP's post... too broad. Unless you're expecting a certain reaction? Whatever.
Note to self: do not work for EY
As a woman in technology consulting, I am very frequently the only female in the room, let alone in the team. I have been a part of meetings with 25+ men and have never felt uncomfortable or less respected because I know what I am talking about. Also, I have received nothing less than the utmost respect from all of my project teams.
Wait, what exactly are you looking for by posting this? This post doesn't make any sense to me tbh!
