Hi Fishes,
Cognizant
Need your valuable information.
I have joined CTS two weeks ago. Now I have got a project called "world vision international". It suits my skill sets. Is anyone having a knowledge about this account and how this project will be?..
BTW it's a developement project.
Kindly help me in this regard. TIA
I’d strongly weigh out the pros and cons. One thing I can say is if you start medication, it is hard to come off it down the line.
My family member has become too dependent on her meds and came off of them once and was worse than before she started taking them
Is that addiction or is that signs she needed the meds and a stigma attached to needing them?
Research potential side effects of the various medications that are available, and decide if they are worth the benefits.
Try the natural medicine 🍃

It depends on whether you can manage your anxiety or not. Some people can manage their anxiety on their own, and minimize the effects, some can’t and medication would help them do so.
I personally never tried them, some of my friends do, and love them, and some hate them. It’s up to you, also be aware of their side effects.
Read a lot of people’s experiences, try all the non pharma coping mechanisms for a while and see if it helps. If not, maybe you can benefit, but will need to understand how different drugs function and the side effects, etc. some medications are great for a kick start, others can feel pretty traumatic. It really depends so just always go slow and start with super low doses and increase/decrease increments carefully

Op I was sailing the same boat as you a few months ago but I was able to handle anxiety without meds. I’m not fully healed but I did so much work on my mental health and am in a much better place at this point. Things that helped me - CBD (in the beginning but I don’t really take it anymore unless I really need it) and meditation (I can’t do breathing exercises in the traditional way but figured out my own way of feeling relaxed and better and that’s my version of meditation)
Maybe wait to see what the psychiatrist has to say? It's helpful to take in the opinion of the medical professional and not just the therapist.
This is helpful y’all! I will see the physiatrist but will probably take medication only if I absolutely need to
I had a similar situation. I ended up going on medication on a very small dose as a means of assisting me get my anxiety under control while also seeing a psychologist. I have continued to take them for 3 years and honestly it is a big help for me. I did have a lot of difficulties initially though with the first type having big side effects; having to come down off that type and then go onto a different. It is a lot of additional ups and downs. It is a big decision not to be taken lightly but I am so glad I did it.
Had to try both variants: 1st time behavioral therapy without meds. After 5 years new need for therapy. Did psychoanalysis combined with meds bc of panic attacks. Combination t/ meds yielded much better (deeper and longer lasting) results. Also no problems to get off Sertralin after 12 months. You hav to shy out, that‘s all. Psychoanalysis also yielded better results for me compared to behavioral therapy. It takes one giant leap of faith - that‘s it. And consequent lifestyle/ career changes. Would do it again if I had to. Hope this helps.
