Expense paid at actual (official policy is $50 a day but very few projects use that), lunch can be expenses too. Phone is paid at 100% if you use a Deloitte phone - you need to give it back if you leave. Reimbursed at 80% if you have 1 phone a no caps. TSA Pre is paid for. Taxi paid for if you work past 6 Pm in the office. $20 a day for gym while traveling. $500 fitness subsidy per year. First class only for 7 hour+ flights. Senior Managers get 1 airline club paid for.
Considering how good the firms other benefits are it doesn't bother me.
Expense policy for meals is "reasonable", and has been for a while now @D1. Check the APRs...
I spend about 500 a week on food and booze and company phone is paid 100 percent.
You have to pay for your corporate card's fee? How is that not reimbursable if it's use is mandatory?
And by the way what issues are happening at EY - I have been too ignorant lately.
OP - Amex waives off your first year fee for Deloitte new hires. You need to ask though. They've waived mine but you need to ask. I've known a few who asked but got denied.
Deloitte's policy is v good.
What's the corporate credit card? Good rewards points program? Also, are there any expenses you can't use the corporate card for?
Corporate AmEX. You pay for it $95 a year. Corporate card must be used for everything especially flights and hotels.
If you want the point, you pay the fee.
U only have to pay if you want to enroll in the rewards program (which is a no brainer)
D1-agree. MR is the worst point program out there. But no receipts (except hotels) and auto import make up for that in my books.
I am not sure why there is an expense policy question. In my mind, expense policies of big 4s are very conservative and is not based on measures of austerity. If your business travel spend is same as what your personal travel spend would be - no one should ever be worried. If you abuse corporate card - it should be a reason to worry.
