Need some advice. Started a few months ago a new job through internal transfer as a lead role in a bank for $350TC. Amazon Web Services keeps messaging me daily for a Principal role and I’m not really in the job market but I think I’ll go through the interview process. I was thinking of demanding the following but I’m not sure how realistic for a remote principle role this is
Base: $240k
Cash Bonus: $110k
Signing Bonus: $150k
RSU: 9,100 shares ($1m PV) in (50/20/15/15)
Does this seem possible?

Its not that they charge higher prices, they basically dont have the same overhead as Big 4. Billings/Collections go into their pockets vs at big firms they offset less profitable lines of service, partner pensions and all the costs that big 4 pay as a big firm. A&M does not have the same costs.
Profits from FDD work go to the big 4 as a whole and the fat partner pensions. Profit from FDD work go to the bonus at A&M.
Ok makes sense. Thank you!

If anything, B4 tends to charge more per project, but A&M tends to operate projects more efficiently. It’s really about the lower cost structure with less administrative overhead at the firm as well as not having to subsidize the lower margin service lines like B4 does. The savings and efficiencies are then split between partner profits and employee comp.
They definitely pay more (but you also work more). Golden handcuffs but a good option if you want to stay in diligence and have a couple years of FDD experience.

K1 just made the dumbest comment I’ve ever read on this app. Why stay at a place where both your upside and downside is fixed as opposed to working at a place where you still have the downside protection but upside is uncapped? If you are one of those people who actively hides and avoids work, we wouldn’t want you anyway.
I have an offer from A&M TAG and really debating if I should move or not

The B4 would always take you back in a heartbeat. There is a reason nobody ever returns.
