Husband & I bought a home in DC suburbs Apr 2021. Buyer’s remorse because my job became indefinitely remote making it hard to build a social life here - 1/2 our friends moved away in last 1.5 years. Thinking of moving to PA in 1-3 years where we have friends & family. Do you recommend renting out our home? Or sell it for nest egg after 2 yr mark to avoid capital gains tax & potentially just before the real estate peak (maybe 2025 if 18 year cycle+2007)? Husband wants to rent it, I want to sell.

Been offered a position with Accenture and with Willis Towers Watson. WTW WLB seems a lot better, salary is lower but I will be completing insurance qualifications along side it. I’m scared of Accenture because of what I have heard about the culture and I am also put off Management consulting because of the lack of variety that can come with it (especially in a technology focused company). Am I making the right decision by choosing WTW?

Does a PhD in computer science make it any easier to get jobs at big tech companies versus only having a Masters? I know that I want to eventually work at a company like Google or Salesforce and I feel I have a long road to get there coming out a Masters program with not much work experience. I hear people say that a PhD is generally only for those interested in academia/research but then I see job postings at companies like VMware that want people with a PhD. So it makes me wonder?
