I’m assuming your MS from northwestern was from the school of professional studies (which is basically community college). If that’s the case and you got a 640 you should be aiming at schools in the T40-50 range like university of Maryland or Boston college. Those still might be reaches for you
I think the GMAT score doesn’t cut it. Take the GRE! Would recommend doing a mock test to get more familiarized with the type of questions & pace. Since you studied for the GMAT, your math concepts might be fresh and you can study for the GRE type of questions for 1-2 weeks if needed and get a solid score. The Manhattan 5 lb. book is great.

Agree first choice is to retake GMAT or take GRE.
If you can’t take another exam and get super high score, but have your recs, apps, high GPS, and essays otherwise in good shape, still apply and maybe to a few others too.
When you get rejected, you can then study to retake the exam for a higher score and get more work experience to mature and reapply. Schools like reapplicants more than you’d expect.
On the other hand, if the rest do your app isn’t exceptional, don’t waste your time or the time of recommender’s.
Early admit programs intend to admit undergrad superstars. I don’t know you, your story, or what other programs you’re applying to, but unless you did an integrated undergrad/grad degree, the ms from northwestern and tier 2 consulting rings of a degree collector looking for an easier admit as a current student. It’s just a watch out.

High GPA not GPS

Your GMAT isn't going to get you a seat at Kellogg. What is your undergrad GPA? While your MS GPA is fantastic, it can't replace your undergrad GPA which factors into the rankings. That said, even with a 4.0 from UG you need to have a better test score (either GMAT or GRE).
