Seeking advice. I work in fashion as a Creative Producer and I'm looking to transition to a PM or Digital Producer role with an AD agency to get more experience. I haven't been able to land a PM role because I'm lacking agency experience and no one seems to want to train a newbie. Should I take a pay cut (possibly entry level role) for an opportunity to get the digital experience I need? Would love some feedback!

Reviewing a salary offer for a Benefits Manager position in Greensboro, NC industry is retail. Offer made of $95k with 18% bonus. I have 16 YOE, degree in Business, and PHR and Shrm certification. I’m considering a less sales-oriented role that doesn’t pay commission. The new role will have a higher base but lower overall earning potential.

👉Just ask for it. Really, you would be surprised. Might be easier to switch to a new company and ask. I did that 3 years into my career.

And 🛑 wasting your time at a company that under-values you severely. Sometimes switching companies every 2 years or so will allow you to keep raising the bar for yourself.

If an employee mentions something disparaging or accusatory about their manager during an exit interview, how would you handle? What happens if what the employee said is slanderous and a “he said/she said” situation? I.e. employee claimed the manager made a disparaging remark about an item of clothing being worn by someone in accordance with their beliefs. If you opt to share the feedback with the manager, would the manager have a legal case against the company or former employee?

When a new type of project comes in and you get assigned as the PM to “figure out” the project plan, how do you go about resource allocation? Sometimes I struggle to know what the team configuration should even be, because we’ve never done said project type before. Hi All- I’m looking for a super simple time tracking platform to integrate with Asana for a team of 5. All we need it for is to see how much time is going into different projects that our department is managing. That’s it.
