Anticipating an offer to work in a Corporate accounting for a large public company very soon at $140k base. I think the raise pencils out… wondering if anyone has advice about pros/cons in comparing these types of roles -public vs private setting, advancement opportunities, etc. both are Non tech companies.

HELP! I’ve been contacted by a small private security firm who wants me to be their “on call” counsel. They describe it as a lot of contract review, drafting NDAs, etc. but also being there if/when they need to license a vehicle, defend civil suit, etc. It’s overwhelming but sounds like a really great opportunity. Thoughts on plan? Do one busy season as audit S1 => move to FDD at another firm (top 6) for 2 -3 years => MBA (top 15) => investment banking (middle market)

Have you ever given honest feedback to a company when leaving? For example the d&i initiatives leadership is taking has lead to joking about common racial stereotypes in office whenever an update is sent. I’m not used to those comments being said so freely for all to hear and fear they’d hire a minority (as part of those initiatives) in my place and subject them to that. I’m not sure what there is to gain but wanted to get other points of view.

HR recruiter asked me before the interview what my salary expectations were, I told her my current salary and said I'm looking for 10k on top of the base. She said she can match my current base and said the company offered lots of other benefits...

Fast forward post interview, and an offer has come through and its exactly my current base, can I still negotiate or is it too late?
