Seeking to establish a return to work program for managers and employees who’ve been out on leave… any good programs that help employees and managers transition employees out and back in from leave? Many thanks!

Provide success stats for working on site. Remindnthem their staff is being recruited daily and retention is crucial. I can tell you, associates and professional staff value senior mgmt attendance. Absent that, there's little stake for associates and staff to stay. Start slow with flex/hybrid with date certain for fixed #of days in office. BigLaw is doing this in many locations. And case management and mentoring is improved.

I think it's definitely about giving it a purpose - people push back if they think it's pointless. We've tried to get managers to schedule in team catchups, and more 'fun' things to make it more palatable

SALARY ADVICE NEEDED: I am a director of strategic communications/marketing who has worked in government consulting for the past four years (less than 10 years of total professional experience, but with a masters). I am considering switching companies, but am concerned that other companies will not be able to match/beat my currently salary ($180K). Can anyone put my mind at ease and let me know that communication salaries of this kind do exist elsewhere?

I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.

I was presented with a great opportunity with my current employer that I had to turn down - required relocation. Now I’m feeling defeated and disconnected. I’m tired of putting out fires everyday and feeling like I’m walking on ice (mostly due to being a overachiever). I can’t stop thinking of the what ifs. Not really sure what the question is but just need some reassurance, I guess?

So my current short tenured job was sold to me differently and the workload was increased after I was hired. I have worked days, evenings and weekends. They admitted they did not tell me the truth in interview and my mgr is working crazy hours 7 days a week (doesn’t complain). When we interview people now I am told it’s a red flag if applicants ask about work life balance. I got a new job offer w exciting co advertising balanced life and comp is a bit lower due to not paying bonus. Thoughts?
