Yeah I'm jealous

Should mention notifications went out today.

For what groups were mid years in play M1?

Tech, AO, Strat, and Digital are always twice a year in new perf achievement model. Not sure about FS, Res, or Prod, but I know H&PS and CMT did midyears for not MC and TC.

For both*

You're saying these notifications went out today?

Yes

We're CCs required to call the counselees that got promoted or is emailing fine

Why would promotions go out on 5/26 this whereas last year they went out on 4/1?

Aligns to new calendar. Mid years effective June 1, Annuals effective Dec 1.

Serious question: how difficult is it to get straight up fired from big 4? Outside the layoffs last year, I have personally never seen anyone let go for any reason. There's always some PIP or transferring projects or some long review process that never goes anywhere. Anyone have any insight or stories? Just looking for some perspective.

Hi Tax Bowlers, I'm an experienced associate (2yrs) in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing division. I have reached a point in my career where I am considering taking up a professional certification. Several colleagues recommended taking up either ACCA or CFA, however, I see little connection between these certifications and the work that I am currently doing, and what I plan to do in the future. What would you guys suggest? Would it be detrimental to my career if I did not take up any certifications?

Have any of you approached your employer for reimbursement for being asked to use your phone at work? Specifically things like texting your boss while they are in court? I started a new job and am trying to set boundaries but this is one that I cannot set as it is standard practice. In our state, an employer must reimburse you if they direct you to use your personal phone for work. It seems petty, but I’m trying to (rightfully) cash in on something that I would rather not have to do.

I was under the impression that this would be a teaching environment. Worst feeling when you feel stupid, and you know that everyone else thinks you are stupid too. Will prob b fired.

Amex corporate green card or CSR? I’m not seeing many benefits to the Amex and I’m wondering whether I should just stop paying the annual fee and apply for CSR instead and get reimbursed for business expenses from that card. Considering I can only put business reimbursable expenses on the Amex, it’s not accumulating points very fast. Would I be better off consolidating my points on CSR? Amex platinum doesn’t seem like the right move for me right now.
