Seems like Deloitte Digital wastes tons of money on recruiting, flys ppl out to Chicago after 3 round phone interviews then ghosts 2/3 of the invited group while covering expenses. What’s the logic?

Gotta meet people in person, it’s pretty critical to assess demeanor, social skills, hygiene, as well as skill set. I believe the major players all do it that way

As someone that accepted an offer one time from a company without an in person interview, i should have recognized it as a huge red flag. Worst organization ever. As for the in person interview from the practice side of things: I agree with A1. I recently went through an interview process with a B4 firm and met the other 5 interviewees in the lobby for an hour. I’m confident they were all skilled in a technical sense and have had very successful careers, but 3/5 I wouldn’t have put near a client.
