Why would McKinsey even be suggested as the example firm who could help Jerry? This seems like interviewer wanted to sound fancy but really missed the mark on who could help.
Well, like all consulting firms, it’s a B2B brand
Today I told someone I'm still with Deloitte when asked about my job and they asked me if Deloitte is a friend / family.
I’m sure you were Deloitted to hear that
I reckon the outcome of any consulting firm writing Seinfeld would be American Psycho
Can we acknowledge what a ridiculous question that is? Who’s bringing in McKinsey to write comedy?
Did you know the New York Knicks hired them to make them a better basketball team? And not their business operations—the actual players and coaches. It apparently didn’t go so well.

Most people can't name a single consulting firm.
Most people don't know what consultants do.
Haha
If you feel any emotion because jerry Seinfeld doesn’t know what McKinsey is you really need therapy
This is funny because in the episode where George fights with that guy over the suit and the guy ends up being the chef at the restaurant he is having dinner at for a potential job. Those guys he’s eating with are from mckinsey. George actually interviews for a mckinsey job on the show
Wow, great sleuthing guys!
Seems timely...
Tucker Carlson seems to know who McKinsey is. Doesn’t seem to like them very much.

I mean he’s right. He’s successful and that speaks for itself. What’s McKinsey’s latest public offering? Bad projection numbers? If someone is good that person will iterate over and over his or her business to make sure it’s all straight✊
The interviewer confuses art with volume production. Would he suggest that Rodin hire a 3D printing company to produce his sculptures?
More than anything this post shows shallowness of the interviewer and OP.
Unrelated to the McKinsey bit, I think the last paragraph from Seinfeld is the most interesting. Gives all credit to himself and basically argues that because he was inefficient and successful efficiency is bad.
He may have micromanaged it, but I guarantee that show was successful for a whole lot of reasons other than Jerry himself.
And also the whole don’t mistake activity for achievement thing is very true. Sure being inefficient worked out for him but I bet he could’ve been more efficient and gotten there a helluva lot less burnt out
Yeah, not like Larry David or the rest of the cast had anything to do with its success, right?
