Do you look desperate if you apply to several jobs within the same company? I was recently rejected for a job I REALLY wanted at a well known tech company. And after interviewing there and studying up on the company, I just really want to work there. The positions I'm applying for are definitely still within my wheelhouse. FDD Or M&A Tax is better?

Been working in Big 4 FDD for a little under two years, interviewing past 2-3 months for FDD, strategy, and IB. Received an offer from a MM FDD group for a 25% pay bump, but mainly looking to pivot out as I’ve burned out of FDD and want to move into a more finance focused role. Currently moved into second rounds at a senior strategy role for a F500 and case study stage for two boutique IB’s.

Would it be dumb to turn down the guaranteed FDD role and see how the others turn out?

Is there a big difference between MM and B4 WLB? I liked the people at the MM firm better, but don't if B4 means that much I could see myself staying.

Since I do expect a slow down to occur in the short term, and I've noticed other firms pushing people to audit and other services with need, would it be rude to preemptively reach out to restructuring partners before my firm pushes us to audit? I really don't want to work in audit like at all. I'd prefer to stay in FDD, but I'd much prefer restructuring over audit

My ultimate goal is to become a lawyer and i am wondering if its a good idea to try for a Senior Associate role in Mergers and Acquisition transaction services line to get an idea and to help my personal statement for my law school application to show i am already equipped with experience from accounting perspective in mergers and acquisitions which lawyers deal with a lot. Imo, given turnover RLs should communicate base comp changes today and bonuses later once available. Stop the turnover pipeline.

What do you think makes more sense:
a) Stay in audit and get M1 promo this year, and then later try to transfer to FDD at manager level.
b) Move to FDD right now as S3, settle in at more relaxed pace but only hit M1 promo in 2 years.
