Is that enough money for you to be bothered by people like you for PBCs all day? That’s your answer
If you stay 2 more years till manager, you will be making over 80k. I also think you can hold out for a higher salary increase for your current offer. I wouldn't take that offer as it stands
Salary increase would be between 70 - 80K? Hell yes. Salary would be you going from 70 to 80K? Hell no. This depends on how much you hate your job of course but I assuming you don’t I would think that $80k is in the near future for you in public.
Question would be
Where is this?
EY2 is correct
If you stay in public by the time you are a M1 you would be over 80k, probably closer to 90k (not sure where you are but in a high COL area you’d be right around 100k for a M1).
Do it
Not worth it. If you’re not offered at least a 20% salary increase, don’t leave.
I would think you would be at or close to 80 as an S3...which is only a few months away. I would either ask for more cash or wait til you make manager and can pretty much guarantee a low six figure industry job
I’m in a low cost of living city! New comp would be a 15% increase from where I am currently with a 10% bonus on top of that. I would have a team of 2-3 direct reports working on close.
Wait is this the incremental increase? If yes, do it.
I guess it’s not a no brainer. You just do what feels right for you in the long run. Think about whether this is the right fit. If it is, accept the job. If not, wait for better opportunity. Just leave on good terms and you can always come back if you change your mind if you decide to accept.
What col city are you at? That seems low for industry manager if you’re at 80k
In low or mid col 80k for an accounting manager is decent. It's a $10k bump and grinding to manager is another two years of life down the tubes.
Not everyone is in nyc folks
Take it and run!!
Hasta la vista baby!
So not a 70 or 80k raise literally going from 70 to 80
Yes
I’d stay til manager honestly if you want a great base for your future. If you can’t hold out any longer at least stay til senior
80k just isn’t enough of a salary IMO to get 3% raises on
