What would be the in-hand salary?
How do I weigh Two offers: SM at current company - 240 base, 10-20% bonus. Good team, good network, enjoy the work. Safe. Clear path to partner. Other offer is at a startup, PE backed, 250 base, 20-40% bonus, 300k of options - 3 yr vest (I’m valuing these at zero). I know my boss, but otherwise haven’t worked with the leadership team. Role will be doing something I’m not as passionate about, but can evolve. Bigger Growth potential. More uncertainty.

Whats the best way to balance out diversifying your skill set so that you’re more valuable later in your career but also maintaining a decent salary ? I’ve been doing social buying for 3 years which but I feel there’s not much else for me to learn and I don’t want to be a one trick pony. The other aspect is that it’s obviously easier to get raises and jobs when you specialize in something. Help!

Is it worth it to leave accenture and join tcs as SE with 5.5lpa as datastage developer, I have experience of 1.5 yeo with ETL tools datastage and talend skill. Reason of leaving : toxic environment and hectic work, less scope of learning. I tried negotiating on salary as if I get promoted in accenture I would get the same salary tcs said with 1.5 yeo they give only 30% hike.

I would appreciate some guidance to make sure I’m not getting “lowballed”. Recently received an offer of 75K at Pershing as a Lead Analyst. I have 6 years of experience in the financial industry.
The offer did not mention the specifics of the percentage given for the annual incentive award - and for some reason the recruiter does not have that information.
Wanted to ask if perhaps someone can provide general information in regards the annual incentive award?

Anyone else here actually find auditing enjoyable? Yes, the hours are insane. WLB hasn't been good for me. But I feel like I'm always learning new things on the job even after 6 years. I would think going into industry would pigeonhole me and be kind of boring. I think that's why I'm still in public accounting besides dreams of making partner.
