I think you can still go for the interview process at least with the understanding/disclosure that if you have to work for newco across from current clients, you’ll need a conflict waiver from current clients (which they may or may not be willing to provide). Newco may have tons of work that’s not adverse to your current clients and not care if you need to not work on those, or they may be trying to hire you specifically to get the inside scoop on current clients (which you cannot provide) but I don’t think you need to count yourself out before even an interview.

Here's a situation. I have been selected to join as a manager at a big four entity. While the HR seems to be fine with the hike and the overall package, the senior/management in the team/project seems to be unhappy with the same. Not sure if the offer might go ahead with a lower package or might not go through at all. The general understanding is that the HR takes a call on packages. Is it different at the big four?

I am a Manager in Salesforce practice at D and I have 15 YOE and 5 years in Salesforce and at 145k base at D. Is it reasonable to expect a Senior Manager or Director role at pwc or accenture or other top consulting firms with a 30% hike? I took my current role at D at the start of the pandemic and got myself a bad bargain which is why I am looking to move.

I’ll be hiring someone to cook for us or at-least help with cooking. Do I need nanny specialized in newborn care? if yes should I go with full time or part time in the first 3 months?

I’m in Tax and completing the mandatory GAM WBL. Usually, this course it presented at ETU and can be described as three monotone panelists speaking for two hours without any inflection whatsoever. This year, due to COVID, it’s presented as WBL. However, instead of a new and interesting format, it’s just a recording of the same humdrum blithering. Except now, I get to listen to it with my children fighting in the background.

Recently lateralled to a new firm and I have mild “PTSD” from my old firm 😶 everything from the way docs are saved on the system, file naming, email writing style, team conventions etc - I keep thinking any small mistake would get me yelled at / be at the receiving end of snarky or passive aggressive emails but people at my new firm are so lovely and far from that. I’m trying really hard to move past this and my new colleagues are probably getting sick of my questions 😂 Anyone else can relate?
