Senior Associates are relatively underpaid.
Junior associates $200,000 and partners $800,000+ while senior associates are coming in around $400,000. The pay scale should be more linear.

Can someone please share exact cut-off date to be eligible for a default hike and bonus for this year in Morgan Stanley?
Some people say it's before 1 September and some say before 1 October.

Backstory: started with a company back in July. Negotiated a very competitive salary package, I was able to work out a guarantee to take a draw for the first 6 months until I get ramped. But I have yet to make any real impact for the company within the first 10 weeks. I feel terrible for taking “commissions that I didn’t earn or show any progress”. Would I be an idiot to talk to my vp and say don’t pay my commission until it’s earned?

Need some feedback, I am lateraling into an associate role at a top 25 law firm after several years at government and corporate jobs & have concerns about the background check.

I haven’t made much money in the past few years and have accrued significant debt from credit cards & personal loans, some of which was to help out family during COVID. My credit utilization is at 90% & I’ve been making payments on time. Credit score is at 580 after being at 780 before law school. Will this ding me?
