Senior associates, do you say thank you to your midlevel and junior after a signing/closing? This particular senior associate has not (to me) and I’m trying to read between the lines here (maybe the senior doesn’t think I did a good enough job??)

Absolutely. Every time and will usually copy the partners if they did a standout job. I like to have a quick debrief after every closing to pass along feedback on what they did well and set goals for the next deal on what to focus on/improve.

like

I wouldn’t assume that. I’ve worked with a lot of partners and seniors over the last few years that never once sent a thank you email.

Fwiw I think it's person dependent. You can solicit it and say "it was great working with you and I'll be sure to handle x and y post closing matter"

like

Does your senior associate say it to everyone else?

I say thank you to the entire team after a signing/closing, even if I only wanted to thank some of them because others dropped the ball or were next to useless. There’s no need to be unnecessarily exclusionary/make people feel bad. Same reason why I invite the entire team to the closing dinner even if I think not all of them deserve to go.

I do (usually, if i remember), many dont, in most cases nothing should be read into either way but its polite to do, so i try...

like

Yes, but I wouldn’t read into it (in terms of your performance) if someone does or doesn’t. I’m saying thank you whether you did a wonderful or terrible job and I try and give some actual feedback too. Others just think they’re too busy and never remember to thank anyone.

As Don Draper would say, “that’s what the money is for!”

Need a level headed take on this— what is up with pharr rd? I saw a apartment complex on that street that looks really nice on the outside and the inside but I keep reading that pharr is “”sketchy”” which doesn’t seem to jive with my impression of it. Not trying to come off stupid or sheltered, but im from Wisconsin lol so I don’t have a good gauge for such things

This past couple of weeks I’ve received some feedback that projects I’ve sold have not been delivered to client expectations. I’m often present but not leading these teams as I am very fragmented across projects, sales and general leadership responsibilities. This negative feedback is making me believe I’m not good at my job and causing tons of self-doubt. Is this imposter syndrome? What should I do?
