It depends on the company. I will say that titles don’t mean as much in industry as they do in PA. I was a senior in PA when I left and took a senior title in industry though it’s more staff work. I don’t have anyone underneath me that I train. However, the pay is like a manager in PA. So I’m getting paid like a manager doing associate work and personally I’m totally cool with that. I know some people who would not be.
The only drawback is that raises in industry are aligned with inflation vs PA where you see higher jumps. But given the current situation, I guess that’s a moot point for now.
Honestly- I think senior. Is fine
Honestly, I’ve never seen “staff” in industry. Every client I’ve worked out have “seniors” but there’s no one below them so they are basically staff.
If you have been a senior in PA for 2+ years, you would want to leave as a manager. Making manager in industry could take a while.
Coach
Senior should be fine.
Correct to assume you’re not in big 4? They are always (well maybe not right now) looking for provision people.
