They are all like that
Or they don’t listen and act dismissive when other people on the team talk. Had great senior managers in the past, but I guess my luck has run out :(
In consulting? More like the world
Had one like that, just placate him or her until the project ends 🤷♂️
My SM is like that. Additonally, they like to hear themselves talk and don't embody what they preach to the team
Go have a drink or dinner with them. Get to know them better. Ask them for feedback and how you can make them more successful. A lot of this stuff goes away with better relationships - and don’t rely on them to make the first move you could be waiting forever.
I have a similar character in my team as well
I am having the same experience. If only sometimes people could listen and learn from people who are junior. Perhaps letting the managers run the project. Also if they are good at their work they should be selling in hallways/golf courses/dinners and not running projects.
