Depends on location and YOE but I'd say anywhere between $100K - $800K.

$270k

like

$320K and looking to bump that mid year 2022

It can vary quite a bit, but I'd say a good range would be $250-$350k

like

I would agree with PS1 as the general range to aim for

It's always amazing to see how wide the range is. Just goes to show you there is always room for negotiation. Don't sell yourself short.

Been working remote since the beginning of the pandemic. Back in the office in January and trying to finalize childcare. Recruiters connecting with me for new job opportunities. Scared to even consider a shift out of my current company where I may have some flexibility bc I've been there for so long, but they're dragging their feet with giving me a well deserved raise. So unsure what to do. Shift now, or cont to negotiate $ at current job or hit the road and let the childcare figure itself out.

I’m interviewing for a role that is open to both remote and in-person (when it’s safe) work. Should I give salary expectations based on cost of living in the city where the office is located or based on where I’d live working remotely? Cost of living in the office location is a lot higher than where I’d live but since they are also considering in-person candidates, I know the budget is there.

Hi mamas, how do you handle a sick child when you cannot take the days off? My son is 18 months, just started daycare and he’s been sick a lot. I just changed job, so I don’t have enough PTO to take, but I’m able to WFH. Husband cannot work from home or take time off since he has a big deadline at work right now. How do you handle a sick child but also get the work done? We don’t have any families live close by neither.

Does anyone else feel like this pandemic has helped level out the playing field between working moms and everyone else? Although the beginning of the pandemic was a nightmare with no access to childcare, continuing to be able to work from home has provided me with the opportunity to advance my career, where I could not before because of the time constraints of my commute and getting home to relieve my childcare. Am I alone in feeling this way?

Looking at making a move from a top 20 city to PNW farm style living. Work from home permanently and live peacefully. I'd be close enough to SEA that I'd be able to make it work if I had to (ie if remote ops reversed course) Anyone thinking similar or already done so? Also, has anyone sold their house to an institutional buyer? Obviously, you may get less cash, but it will also take longer to sell, so you are paying holding costs, etc and taking on more market risk.

Trying to help my wife upgrade her WFH setup. She gets some road noise at times and is backlit in the afternoon. Anyone have suggestions for webcam and external microphone that would handle that? … and no curtains aren’t an option. She loves to look of the room and the blinds that are there.

Let me know If anyone is interested or has questions about Secure On-Set Remote Video Streaming or the new On-Set Protocols that I experienced on the 3 commercials I’ve just finished in Los Angeles. I’ve been doing On-Set Remote Streaming for 3 years, and Video Playback (VTR) for 19 years mostly on Commercials in LA. The new norm is quite different. I'm limited to 500 words in these posts, but for anyone interested I can give you free demo of Live stream and answer any questions. -Brett Junod

Would you choose a lower offer for 160k TC (also bc one level lower) over a 200k TC offer if you genuinely thought the experiences gained at the first would benefit more in the long run? The first midmarket company has consistently grown ~30% each year, will reach $1B soon. The second is a slower growing multi-billion dollar company already. Concerned about personal growth also slowing with slower culture 5 yoe and current TC is 120k, so either is a nice bump
