Senior promo is coming up, is it worth switching to big4 now? I feel like my exit opportunities have been handicapped by my decision to not work Big 4

Ya, Big 4 always needs senior bodies

Thanks !

Don’t do it. I have worked at big4 and nothing is worth the time and stress there. You will be worked closer to 65-70 hours during busy season and you don’t feel like you are learning a lot. But if you don’t feel like you are learning here then do it.

I used to work way more at b4. But maybe it was because I worked in a big city and did public clients as well.

A lot of time the grass is greener in the other side but sometimes it really isn’t. Sounds like from this post you need to find out for yourself.

i was in the same boat as you and was promoted to an audit senior at regional sized firm. i switched to big 4 and it was the best decision i ever made for my career. have since been promoted to manager and yes there is a lot of work but there are so many benefits. if you think you want big 4 experience then go for it, don’t want to regret not trying it later in life. if it ends up not being for you, trust me moss adams will always take you back coming from big 4

Any experienced senior managers that have moved between Big 4 firms? Can you speak towards your experience, any struggles, and opportunities in terms of partner promotion? Frankly, EY path to partner seems to be too clouded (long pipeline, no clear direction/path, uncertainty on promotion cycles, etc.) at the moment and I would like to visit all options. Appreciate the input.

Hi everyone

I'm in a business development role based in Asia. May I get your thoughts/pointers on the CAIA?

I'm aware that the CAIA is not as popular in Asia compared to the CFA. From my knowledge, there are no CAIA holders in my current firm within the Asian region, despite dealing with alternative investments.

Would be happy to hear your thoughts regarding the CAIA, and study tips if you have any!

I've risen the ranks and have been doing ACD work there for almost 3 years (winning pitches, overseeing juniors, etc..) with no promotion because the position doesn't exist. I saw another similar post but the OP is an RN, and I didn’t know how much that information would apply to me as an LPN.

Hi Fellow professionals,
I am eagerly looking for a job change but I don't want to limit myself to just Marketing (I have 3 years of experience in this field).
What are the other job options available for me without having to start all over again? What is a lucrative business/market/industry r.n.? I would love to work for Blockchain, Defi, AI, ML or even sustainability industry but I am open to other options.
Have any of you did something similar recently and are enjoying the new job change?

Need advice pls . Been working in call center customer service for the past 15 years , since 2007. I work remotely .I really do love it . It’s convenient when you have young children. I just feel stuck , don’t have much education besides my high school diploma. How can I further my career and make more money in this field but not be stuck answering phone calls . All suggestions are very much appreciated

Looking for some sincere advice. I absolutely bombed a case interview today. I’m defeated. I performed as well as someone with zero preparation after over a month of prep. I seem to always panic, I get disorganized, I’m flustered and lose sight of important relationships in cases. I feel like I need a complete overhaul. Any advice of what has worked to help you change your instincts? I care more about building up my skills and self improvement than I do about doing this for an interview. TIA
