I switched from Deloitte to EY for a 30% pay bump as well. Tbh EYs internal systems are out dated and super annoying and I find that the people I worked with at Deloitte were a lot more technical, but I do enjoy being the most technical on the team and I still get to learn a lot because the clients and projects we have are on the same caliber. Personally I really like my job at EY, is it better than Deloitte? Maybe not? But is it worse? Not at all (if you can look past the bad internal systems) and I get paid a lot more so it was worth it
Take the 30% and make yourself into a tech leader

An EY consultant built me a model using the average of averages. Stay away.
You may be right (or not) about your view of ACN being a tech leader. I think you are.
But you don't pass up a 30% raise. That would be ridiculous

What's the research say?

The IT focus turns me off from ACN. 🤣
Accenture is on a downhill tbh, it’s not seen as a tech leader anymore.
Hmm this one I’d disagree with, esp post-pandemic.
Accenture is also laying off a lot of staff. Just had a guy come in to a bar I was at last weekend and told me he was told in January he’d be let go in August in favor of offshore resources and he’s been training his replacements ever since 😬😬

Sounds like maybe he was on the staff aug team there? IIRC, ACN has a big staff aug presence at Facebook.

You can make partner 6yrs from now and no one will care about a perception

I’m a lowly consultant but if I made partner tomorrow I can afford the buy in at 250 cash only. Add that the firm would lend against my credit, that’s goes up. Enjoy.
Until recently ey used lotus notes😵💫
