I’ve stopped giving a crap. I carry my fan proudly into meetings for when I’m having a hot flash and I don’t apologize....just state it matter of fact and move on. ,
The best thing about turning 40 was realizing I no longer had to pretend to give a crap. 5 years on and I am living my best life.
Hahaha! I am definitely not putting up with all the crap any more - and when I was younger my goal was to please everyone. Screw that!! Might be “the hormones” talking 😄
Hah- probably half and half. I definitely have hormonal rage, tempered by psych meds so I can function- but I do notice the amount of shits I give are rapidly declining.
Hormones and life experiences. It’s no longer worth it to put up with other people’s issues and drama. I no longer have the patience for it nor do I care what they think - a wonderful thing about getting older.
Exactly, the wisdom of age :) One benefit of getting older for me is having more perspective and not getting rattled by nonsense.
I have that, and I just had my hormones run and they’re aggressively within premenopausal range (49), so like yeah but also probably wait for the other physical shoe to drop? Concerned about the prospect of getting worse lmao
37 and stopped giving a shit after the election
I freelance now because I couldn’t deal with the bullshit any more. It gets worse as you get older and it’s not the hormones — I just have no patience for time wasting and toxic personalities.
I’m 35 and I’m there!
I turned forty last year and I am less and less concerned what people think of me every day. Bring on the croning.
