I always take it because of stupid compliance shit that I never do. But I ignore all other emails.

I did last year (2 weeks) but I'm federal so it's not like much was happening while I was gone anyway.

Yes, but before you do, make sure to log all your time and expenses, send a note to your resource manager that you won't be updating your availability report for 2 weeks, and make sure to decline and cancel any invites on your outlook. Then leave it at home and go!

Got invited to the final round (4 hour loop) for a FAANG job, but I no longer want the role. Is it better to withdraw before interviewing, risk rejection, or possibly decline the role? I don't want to hurt my candidacy for future roles.

Is it normal to not receive annual salary adjustments to at least offset inflation? I’ve been with four firms over my 13-years of experience, and the firm I joined two years ago (top 20 global asset manager) just informed me that my base and bonus target for the upcoming year will be the same as when I started. They apparently only give increases at the time of promotion. I’ve previously always received at least a small increase every year. Just wondering if there’s an industry standard.
