Tech-confession: Went back to being a Tech leader in Industry from a Tech consultant (SM) in a big4 earlier this year and had forgotten all about all night long deployments. This past weekend was a rude reminder. Stayed up all night to troubleshoot servers, deploy files and monitor performance with the team.
In comparison, consulting was literally so cushy.
However, as a benefit, I now get to use Visual studio more than powerpoint.
I think they’re all the same. SAP just sucks to deal with regardless where you go.
Better in terms of what? EY is smaller in terms of SAP. Much smaller.
And then you have sap folks like myself that come from industry learned sap and like to specialize in business process as well as the technical aspects such as configuration and customization. So EY2 it makes sense because your sap practice at EY isn't as mature hence you probably don't have the exposure to the broader SAP talent pool we have to see a different type of SAP resource...
::Trump voice:: "HUGE"
I’ve learned that every SAP person I’ve worked with knows where to click and configure but the moment I ask to enable web services on their sap GRC or sap IDM they have no clue
No but they are trying really hard to grow.
EY offered me 135k... but I hear you don't have control of your career
@Deloitte 1 at what level ?
SC
I quit EY to join Deloitte at 120k lol
Let's grab beers
Yeah agreed ! So did you end up rejecting EY ?
After a certain salary... I don't think it matters... as long as you're happy. I'm still with deloitte... however I countered at 140k... they declined lol
EY countered at me and I declined them, I think in a small SAP practice like EY, everyone knows each other and it’s a bad idea to accept their counter offer. D must be different as the size is so huge
