Around 5 days a week, ~40 mins. Trick for me is to switch it up e.g. today was a struggle so I did a restorative yoga, other days I run, etc.

It’s okay yo!! You’re doing fine. I went like 6 months last year without being able to get into a routine. You’ll find your groove.

Why does it need to be in the AM?

Ignore these hardos. Just find something that works for you.

For me, that meant getting active every day - even if just for 5-10 minutes.

No matter how long of a day you’ve had, you’ve got 10 minutes to go run a mile! Do it!

5+ times a week; at least 60-80 min.

Even when I feel like my workout isn’t as good as it could be, I know that it’s still [almost] always the most productive thing I’ve done that day, and the fact that it impacts my physical and mental well-being gives me additional incentive to want to do it, on top of genuinely loving it. Listening to music/a podcast, and spending that time working on improving myself is time cherished.

30 min 3x week. Flexible HIIT strength workouts. But it’s maintenance mode. About to go for a 6 month 45-60min 4-5 days/ week mode to cut down.

In that case 7 hours a week 😜

3-6x, 30-60 min

I also walk a few miles a day

I worry about being a slacker who avoids hard things in life/work so I think of working out as grit training

like

Just wanna say that I love your motivation/reason for working out!! I don’t think I’ve heard that one before but it’s super cool

6 days a week; 75-90 minutes of lifting.

The problem is you are getting responses from all ends of the spectrum with different fitness goals and different priorities and different personal obligations.

Sleep, nutrition, hydration and movement. Done exercise is better than none. Consistency is key.

This is me. Work different muscle groups, the changes I am seeing in my body are incredible.

6 days a week, about 1.5 hrs. Usually fairly high intensity, it’s all martial arts training. Might do some yoga in the morning as well.

6 days a week for an hour-ish.

Unfortunately my schedule means I can never guarantee a free evening, so it’s 5:30/6 am for me

That’s so early... 😭😭😭😭

5-6 days a week. For 30min-3hrs a day.

Combo of running, cycling, yoga and strength. Weekdays I work out in the afternoon or evening when I’m done working. Weekends it’s earlier in the morning.

I think it’s important to find things you enjoy doing that don’t bore you. If all you’re thinking about while working out is “how much longer” maybe try a new activity.

I like to block the time for working out and commit to it as time just for me to break from work, distress, get stronger, improve attitude, improve looks, etc. it helps when you keep in mind the bigger picture.

Keep it up OP you got this 💪

Depends on how busy I am and what I’m doing. When I’m not busy, it’s about 30 min of lifting + 30 min cardio T/W, and F/U it’s 1.5 hrs lifting + 30 min cardio, with 30-45 min of cardio on the other days. When I’m busy it’ll usually just be 30 min of lifting a couple of times a week.

6 x a week: 30 mins 4 x and then 45-60 mins the other two days. Switch it up between spinning, boxing, HIIT, and lifting.

It’s ok to take it slow to start. For me, I built up a practice of being sedentary through much of 2020. You don’t just turn on the light switch and go, I had to peel back the old layers and then build up new ones.

Walking even a little bit daily is good (that’s how I started). Then I moved to 3-4x/week in the gym and walking on non-gym days, after like a month lol. And even then, I’m in the gym for less than 30 minutes doing an intense HIIT or tabata, and only focus on one thing while in there. Building up to a sustainable practice that you really stick with I think is better than forcing it fast & hard just to abandon ship soon after. Also yes, I feel incredibly better now that I’m moving again! I find that I enjoy it now even though I dreaded it at first. That’s the place I really wanted to be in.

4x a week in the gym (about an hour) and 2-3x a week of some sort of cardio (run or bike). Had a great routine pre-covid and finally just found something that clicked well for me. To avoid the early wake ups I like to schedule some time either during the lunch hour or after 5 for my workouts.

I would just try and start doing any sort of workout daily throughout the week to help you find something you like. I always find it easier to workout when the routine comes naturally as opposed to trying to force myself into something.

3-4 days a week for 20-45 min, mostly HIIT workouts. I also walk 2-3 miles a day on the weekends though just to get moving

I workout 6 days a week, and during my rest day, all I do is walk my dog. It’s usually between 30-45 minutes, and I alternate between cardio one day (usually cardio dance or dance HIIT), and muscle work the next (strength, sculpt, barre).

Daily - at least 30 minutes

I try do to something everyday.
I’ll do a 45-60 min Spin, HIIT, or strength + a 3-5 mile walk with the dog 5x a week. On the weekends I’m either skiing or hiking

Some days I’m really not in the mood to go but I remember how much better I feel after.

5 times a week, about an hour to an hour and a half each session

Yes

Ladies - when in the process of losing weight do you still eat at a deficit during your period or do you eat at maintenance? I’ve been trying to research online but am getting conflicting advice. Some people are saying you burn extra calories during that time so you need the extra food (is this true/a worthwhile amount?), some say eat at maintenance just to get through it mentally, and some are saying stick with a deficit. Would appreciate personal insights!

I’m traveling again for work and while it took me a while to get back into it, I’m almost as efficient as I was pre-Covid. My issue is that when I get home, I am exhausted. It feels like it takes me a day to recover from any travel that is more than an overnight trip. I know travel disrupts sleep and I eat heavier food when I’m on the road, so I’m watching that, but any other tips to not come home feeling like a shell? Or how to bounce back faster?

I’m very frustrated because I’ve been interviewing with companies for 6-8 months to only be rejected at the final round consistently.

I have lots of relevant experience and I articulate it well but they don’t think it’s a “fit” for them. Finance firms are the only ones that interview me, can’t break into other industries. I feel trapped in my current role and everything is taking a huge toll on my mental health.

I went to community college 2 out 4 years to save money. I worked at Denny’s to earn money during college. Everything I made went to keeping the debt low. I drove a used Honda with 200k miles on it. I worked at the movie theatre filling popcorn bags to earn money. I graduated from a top 25 university with less than 12k in debt. And paid it off in two years bc I put as much of my paycheck towards paying back the loan.
