I have a team member who has a tendency to miss deadlines, is reluctant to take on tasks which they don't like or refuses to participate in company-wide mandates w/o me & the other team members validating the why's. Prior to joining my team, this behavior was alluded to but never told to me directly. Now I'm seeing it. I've discussed missed deadlines which are acknowledged but w/o permanent resolution. I'm going to give her a verbal warning in the upcoming review. Other suggestions?

Do Hiring Managers identify concern over a candidate’s job hopping at resume review / interviews only, or also during background check? I’ve left the 1 month role off my resume, but reporting it on the background check; thus wondering if I’d be questioned about it if they saw it in the background check.
