Given the clear answer here, something tells me the debate isn’t being fairly represented by OP
Using curbside pick up you don’t risk getting or spreading Covid in the middle of a pandemic which is decidedly un-dickish
No
Stores wouldn’t be doing it if there wasn’t some sort of financial benefit. For grocery stores likely larger orders. For fast food- quicker delivery for other customers in fast food lines and probably higher volume.
No
No. Nein. Non.
Moreover, why would it be a bad thing??
What?

No, always do it when it's available.
No. What? Why?
No.

Are you tipping
I’m mainly speaking about fast food places where they don’t have a tip system in their app. Don’t think they will take tips either

No
Is it dickish to avail a service that is offered to you at a price and helps bring in customers to the establishment while keeping all involved safe?
Don't think so
Rising Star
No.
No. Is the argument that it's dickish that you're forcing someone else to do more work (and potentially have to go outside in cold/bad weather)?
No?
No. It’s the future. You’re either benefiting early, or figuring it out late.

What’s the debate exactly?
Lol surprised by all the “no”s. The other argument is that it’s dickish because you are making the employees work more/harder to walk you your food. And in the case that it is raining or inclement weather, it is more dickish.
Are you supposed to tip for curbside? Never seen anyone do it.
Idea is that it is convenient for you, but in the time that someone brings your food out to you, they could be helping someone else - like the drive through for example.
Where I pick up doesn’t allow tips. Not in the app, and the employees have refused cash tips multiple times.
It is literally a job, and from what I’ve heard from people, one they prefer to other positions in the store, like cashier. The store gets more business. The employees have a decent job. And I guarantee you, curbside pickup has saved lives in the last 2 years. I really don’t see what the issue is here.
Rising Star
Well, that may be partly because doing curbside requires you to place your order in advance, which isn’t always possible.
