Severance package negotiation? Any tips? Expecting a meeting with hr - I’m confident I’ll be sacked soon.

It's going be a standard we ll give you one month or two months, look for a position, hand in laptop, we ll pay you conversation. Negotiate that keeping those terms you would like to "resign" not be terminated. Makes for a much easier conversation when interviewing. Sorry to hear about your possible sack. Chin up and do your best!

Being on a PIP is going to be hard to negotiate for severance. Typically, PIPs serve as a “for cause” termination. If you want to keep your job, I’d ask for very clear and actionable guidance that will help you keep your job. Make sure the items on the PIP are actionable, measurable, and time bound

What company

Why do you think that?

What country are you in?

USA , I’m on a Pip!

Oh damn. Why

Folks, any advice on applying for jobs at a previous client? As a firm we have great relationships with the senior client leadership and I am afraid that the GEP and my RL will eventually find out when I submit my job application. On the other hand, if I tell my RL prior to applying, I will probably end up towards the top of “people to be laid off” list.

I'm 25 weeks pregnant and have been looking for work for the past month and half after getting laid off. I've had several interviews, but so far nothing has panned out. Baby is due mid-September. Is it too late at this point? Should I just stop looking and wait until after the baby is born? This has been such a stressful time.

Do interviewers sometimes think or know that your response to "why this company or position" sounds like a bunch of BS? Like they probably know you're being PC instead of just saying "i need to get the f#@* out of here" or "i just need a job because I was laid off"

I was laid off in April when there was just email and phones. Cut to five months later and I’m working again. Yay. But suddenly it’s all Zoom, Slack, Teams, Slides, Sheets. Email is dead. And phones are only for Zoom, Slack, Teams, Slides and Sheets. It feels like I woke up from a coma in a shitty version of the future and everyone else is fine with it. How did anyone adjust to this?

I am a developer and one of my performance metrics is "Utilization" (billable hours). I am finding it hard to meet this goal (get enough work from my project team), accomplish all my admin tasks, and take vacation/holidays. Any advice?

So.. my husband and I live across the country from my family, including my young nieces. We haven’t seen them since before COVID and are not seeing anyone inside who is not vaccinated in our life, and this has not been a problem. We made a plan to vacation with my family to see them again this summer. My BIL is refusing to get vaccinated. Everyone else is vaccinated. My parents and sister aren’t happy about it but feel there is nothing they can do.
