After 9 long months of anxiety and searching, finally managed to get FP&A offer from Google and a similar role from Palantir! Any thoughts choosing between the two? Comp is similar between both
Don't know if I should accept a retention bonus if I'm planning to leave in less than 2 months. What say you FB community? Don't want to lie or tip my hand too soon
Applied to Guidehouse for managing consultant, put 140k as expected comp (lol why not). Recruiter set up intro discussion to discuss “next steps”. Pretty sure my comp expectation is far beyond the norm. Any thoughts?
What’s the average manager salary for B4 Tier 1 city in cyber? I’m trying to gauge what I should ask for
Do BCG & Bain have a human capital / change management / employee experience practice on the West Coast? Are they actively recruiting? Looking to make a career change & get a salary boost.
My bonus was peanuts, impacted by my 4months maternity leave. Did you face this situation? How did you handle it?

What are some good exit ops for EPM/CPM tech consultants with experience in Oracle EPM, Anaplan, OneStream etc. Open for both technical and functional roles with good salary and benefits. Consulting just doesn’t pay enough!
Glad to see that California has forbid employers to ask about salary history. It's time to start shrinking all those wage gapes.
What is the end goal out of consulting for you guys? Frequent conversations about salary tracks and promotion paths make this seem like a never ending game of climbing the ladder professionally as life passes us by
What can a CPA who has a few years in public accounting at a big 4 & 1 yr in private accounting pivot to do? The person wants a more dynamic role, better salary+bonuses, no busy season... (continued)
Does anyone have insight into the typical salary range with Google BizOpps practices? On Glassdoor the range is too wide so unsure how to read into it.
When does our pay increase take effect? I know bonus doesn’t come until 7/31 but isn’t our pay increase effective this past pay period?
One of my older clients offered me a contract to hire. They said it will be as you go not “6 months” or “1 year” etc. I like the company and the VP i will be working under. What do you guys think? How much pay would it take for you to do it? (the job is worth $170,000 salary in SF standards but I’ll be working from LA so COL needs to be adjusted)
Trying to decide between fin reporting job at company about IPO in 1-2 years or MBA school at SMU. What do u guys think?
New to this NY freeze - so when does an agency just call it quits and have everyone work from home? Or is this wishful thinking?
I hate my client to an unhealthy level. Literally fantasize about telling him what a fucking hack he is before quitting. Worst part is, he approves work that wins lions. Feel like a prisoner.
Anyone exited to retail recently (yes, I know, odd time for it), what types of roles / comp? Post-MBA.
What people aren't noticing is that by looting store fronts and local businesses that are already suffering during a shut down, all you are doing is 2 things: -obscuring the message of the protest -adding to Amazon's power of online retail Is that what you want? A type-A trillionaire that pays low wages to the masses, upskills robots, doesn't care about WLB or workers benefits, to become even stronger? How many people are going to benefit by being badly employed like that in 20 years?
An agency wide email: We will be evaluating all employee salary in the upcoming fiscal quarter to make sure that we are compensating everyone with fair market value. Happy April Fools everyone.
8 weeks pregnant. Coincidentally chatted with a recruiter about a WFH job (some occasional travel to hub city) with comp equal to what I make now. Maybe interested, but feel like I’d be giving up...
Just came back to Advisory TC from Tour of Duty in IFS. Concerned my SA2 salary is below that of Advisory, since CRT took place during tour. How should I approach with HR?
I recently got laid off and my previous firm just reached out to me to inform me about a client whose rate was too late on a commercial level but they might be interested in me to work as a contractor
I've been laid off from D. I'm seeking a similar role, "Resource Manager" or "Engagement Staffing Manager". To summarize, the role entails working with business managers to help fill open roles, providing available staff, and forecasts, etc.; and working with practitioners as they near or land on the bench. Do other consulting firms, such as EY, PWC, Accenture, etc. have such positions? If so, what are titles do they have? I'm seeking alternative search terms.
How are everyone’s organizations determining layoffs/furloughs during COVID-19? Lowest performers? Essential work?
